About Me

Bewtween 2002 and 2006 I was the songwriter for a manchester based band called 'The Exports'. We had lots of fun, got played on bbc radio 1 and played over 150 gigs. We partied with the best of them in the Manchester Scene. A house party of ours got reviewed in the NME. Bands to have played in our kitchen include Nine Black Alps, The Longcut, The Harrisons, Keith, Autokat and Loose Canon. In this time, I worked at the Carling Apollo. I watched an unbelievable amount of gigs there aswell as seeing most bands coming thru town in other venues. I got to meet and drink with my 'hero's of the time' including The Strokes, Kings of Leon, The Libertines and Adam Green. I had as much fun as possible without killing myself. I made friends for life and played some unforgettable gigs. All good things come to an end they say, and early 2006 I came back to my native homeland of Cornwall. I got myself some gigs at The Eden Project and various other venues around the county. The solo stuff is very different from the band, and no where is that more apparant than on my first solo recording 'Don't let the tide bring you down'. Recorded with old friends in Derbyshire (thanks Tess and Jim!), the first batch has sold out and is receiving local radio airplay. Another batch will be printed before a new recording hopefully coming out in early 2007. There are vague ideas to form a band in the upcoming months, but they are still merely thoughts. (Last night my plan was to drop everything and visit Costa Rica with a friend...) If I've added you and you don't know me, Hello! If you have some time listen to the songs and let me know what you think. If I add you and you already know me well it's probably been too long, but nice to see you again.x 't.
