FRIENDS OF MINE - Named after Adam Green's second album, it is now a permanent fixture in London and Liverpool, having started way back when in the Republic of Mancunia.. Run by Sam Gardner and Pierre Hall since 2004, from its humble beginnings in Glass (RIP) Fallowfield, to the glory days of early Courteeners gigs at Joshua Brooks it now hosts monthly nights at Manchester's best new venue, The Deaf Institute, as well as monthly nights in Liverpool @ The Magnet (3rd sat of the month) and London @ The Fly (first and 4th Friday). It has hosted a legendary stage at the final ever Dpercussion festival, has in 2009 along with the also-legendary 'Blowout' night, formed the annual FRIENDS OF MANCHESTER FESTIVAL,and has extended to a record label, with the release of the now sold-out limited edition Lead Balloons debut single (Somethin' You Say).
