About Me

Son of an actor and a photographer, Yuru had contact with the art since his first days of life. He discovered since the twelve years the photograph dedicating itself during fourteen years for this profession. He signed his workmanships as YURI PINHEIRO . He photographed spectacles, concerts and fashion shows. When Yuru was twenty four years old decided to move to Rio de Janeiro and knew the singer THALMA DE FREITAS and her father, the conductor LAÉRCIO DE FREITAS .In the endless musical subjects, Yuru realized that he needed to change the artistic language of his work. Stimulated for Laércio, Yuru decided to dedicate to music exclusively. He came back to São Paulo (his native place) and made his first work with music, one partnership with PIRES , Yuru made the sonorous track of the SUPERONIC mark in the Week of Fashion “casa de criadores” (house of creators) in the 2001 he made other similar works of marks as MXM for the “Fashion Rio” and WILSON RANIERI in “Amini Hotspot” and others.Yuru saw the necessity to study deeper inside into the form the conventional music. Also he decided for an erudite formation and choose for clarinete as his instrument. In 2002 Yuru was approved in second place at “Free University of music Tom Jobim” ULM and he studied instrumental formation course about tre years, and his teacher was Gustavo Colaferro.During his studies Yuru knew the aware “bassman” CÉLIO BARROS and the percursionist of Mercedes Sosa, JORGE PEÑA , with who formed a trio of free improvisation called Amálgama. In September, 2004 the trio was invited by composer teacher GIL JARDIM to open Sthe season of music contemporary of “ SALA SÃO PAULO ” concert hall represented the vanguard of the paulita’s songs. At the same time, Yuru knew the singer ARICIA MESS with who made partnerships in letters and bases in soft reason. At the same year too, Yuru started a contact with “ ORQUESTRA MEDITERRÂNEA ” of Livio Tragtinberg, Carlinhos Antunes and Magda Pucci, He knew the Spanish musician XAVI LOZANO , whose taught him some new techniques of blow, Yuru began new studies with a bigger variety of blow instruments as transversal flute, zurna, jewish harp, saxofone, bird’s pius and other exotic instruments of blowing. In 2006/2008, Yuru signed a contract with the Elida Marque’s company LER É UMA VIAGEM , making concerts in “Espirito Santo”, “Mato Grosso” do Sul” and “São Paulo” in Brasil. Had been more than 400 presentations and the publish esteem in 20.000 spectators. At the same year Yuru specialized in engineering of audio at the “audio and video institute IAV ”. Simultaneously Yuru developed an alone work, he composed and programmed his bases. His choice for the electronica came from his teenager’s life at the underground clubs in São Paulo.
