Straight out of Clovis, NM, Johnathan Dawson is introduced to the world by Pro Spirit Records, an independent label based out of South Carolina. He has taken the nation by storm with his debut release "Melody of Love". Las Vegas, NV is where he now resides. It is also where he teamed up with nationally acclaimed musician David Blakely, who is the producer of this project.Johnathan is the 6th child out of 7 children, and the youngest of three sons. His musical encounter began at the age of 2, where his first love for music began with the drums. He started singing at the age of 4 with the children's choir at First COGIC in Clovis, NM. He took up the trumpet in 5th grade where he began to learn to read music. His journey in band ended in the 9th grade. His tenth grade year in high school is when he joined the choir, where he would become a three time All State choir member and a two time recipient of the outstanding soloist award.After graduating from high school in 1989, he went on to attend Eastern New Mexico University, where he would receive his BS in Music in 1996. Since then, he has sang background for artist such as Rosalind McDuffie of Lyric Sings, Tamela Mann of Kirk Franklin and the family and also from the Tyler Perry Collection. He has appeared on projects "Hang on in There" by Carlton Malone of Las Vegas, and "God still Answers Prayer" by his older brother Pastor David Dawson of Clovis, NM. He has opened up for artist such as Byron Cage, Isreal Haughton, Martha Munizzi, J. Moss, Walter Hawkins, just to name a few.He is known for songs such as "All The Way", and a cry to the nation "No Prayer". These songs are aired all over the nation on some of the top gospel radio stations such as, SGN The Light (Atlanta), Heaven 97 (Dallas), WMBM (Miami), Sirius (Satellite), Live365 (Internet), and many others.
