About Me

"I postpone death by living, by suffering, by error, by risking, by giving, by loving." -Anais Nin. A lover of disjunctives, I am fiesty, but tender hearted; opinionated, yet open minded. Originally from the east coast, I was raised in New England. I am basically a happy person. Not disgustingly happy or pathologically happy, but I can always find the proverbial silver lining. I am a voracious reader and also a big movie buff. I love animals and I volunteer regularly with Pet Orphans in Van Nuys. In fact, I take a new dog onto Fox 11 news at 10 a couple times a month to help find them homes. My parents are two of my best friends ever. I am an aunt seven times over. I love Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I have never had a cavity or a broken bone. I love to cook. Balance is a priority for me. I take care of myself but that doesn't stop me from indulging when the situation calls for it. I love spontaneous adventures, but I also have respect for the "routine". I like my eggs over medium and I have a thing for zombies and vampires. I have a weakness for Mexican food, fried chicken, good cheeseburgers (with onions!) and Indian food. I am honest. I just couldn't imagine not saying what I really think and feel and I am pretty much incapable of bullshit. Sufficed to say, I can be fairly direct. loves the outdoors, loves the water, loves to go fast, clean, likes large parties, outgoing, makes friends easily, optimistic, positive, social, high self control, traditional, assertive, rarely irritated, articulate, self revealing, open, finisher, high self concept, controlling, rarely worries, tough, likes to stand out, semi neat freak, fearless, dominant, trusting, organized, resolute, strong, practical, craves attention, adventurous, hard working, respects authority, brutally honest, realistic, altruisticI edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

learning everyday, always having a good book on hand, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, the profound in life, people helping animals and animals helping people (AAT), moo-vees, getting my motorcycle license (finally!), a cold beer on a hot day, the truth (whether it be through art, philosophy or science), taking pictures, training for Wildflower, horseback riding, mountain biking, roller-skating, bowling, hiking, softball, golf, my limited gardening (house plants) and digging in the dirt, pretty much anything involving being on or in the water, flip-flops, road trips, or any trips, vocabulary, live music, time with good friends, cooking, talking, thinking, writing, laughing, singing, dancing, sex, integrity, ethics, compassion, the power of positive thinking, social satire and shock value “There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment on a small scale by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic.”

I'd like to meet:

People who think left of center. Musically and artistically inclined folks. Loud, nice, bitchy women. Thinkers and doers.
