I-Marcus a.k.a. Joe Bonnie, well versed Dancehall DJ, has grown into a powerful, unique and self assured deejay and singer and successful entrepreneur who is a partner in his own promotion company Trinity Promotions . His approach reflects the challenges and circumstances of his childhood in Jamaica and his everyday life.
In the winter of 2005 Joe Bonnie dubbed I-Marcus by well known Dancehall DJ "Jah Tunda" prodigy of the Fire Man, "Capleton", began working with producer Ras Mason of Rebel Soul Productions , and together they created some of I-Marcus most memorable recordings.
Born 18 November in Kingston Jamaica, raised in Spanish Town, Jamaica where he initially began his career in entertainment in 1976 with his fathers sound system, "Computer Hi Power Sound", gaining a great appreciation for music. I-Marcus honed his vocal skills in the church and school choirs and then entered the secular world.
I-Marcus has performed and worked with many of the greatest artists and sound systems in the Dancehall/Reggae music world the likes of Bass Odyssey, Metro Media, Horace Andy, Ranking Joe, Al Cempbell, U Brown, Christopher Martin, Tony Curtis, Jah Mason, Lukie D, Jah Cure, Bonny General, Singing Melody, Courtney Melody, Bounty Killer, Junior Reid, Junior Kelly, Capleton and more. In addition, I-Marcus has worked with many Top Japanese artists and sounds the likes of Sunset Platinum Sound, Infinity 16 Sound, Boy-Ken, Corn Head, Ackee and Saltfish, Nanjaman, Rudeboy-Face, Fat D and more.
