Big Said is never satisfied with just putting it down. "It’s got to be just
right. It’s all about getting the Right Feeling to me", he says. "It has to
invoke the feeling, in the fans, that I’m feeling." Big Said's heart felt
and truthful feeling he puts into his tracks, along with his constant drive to
take his passion the next level, sets him apart from any other artists. There
is no North, South, East or West for him. "It’s all about making Hot Tracks
and Feeling the Music. I want to encompass everything in what I do. I'm from the South and that ain't gonna change," according to this native of Jackson, MS.
Growing up in Jackson, MS, Hip-Hop and R&B represented a major influence
in his life. The truth in the lyrics and the hard times are something Big
Said is no stranger to. Having to take on the role as co-parent of his
siblings at a young age, taught Big Said the value of Life and Family.
"Yeah, I put a little bit of the other side in some of my lyrics, but I’m
always steering towards the truth in everything I do. It's all real and
it's all felt whether you've physically done it, seen it, or been halfway
around the world and heard about it. You can't fake it if you're true to
yourself. It's a part of me," says Big Said.
Music, especially hip-hop/rap, has always been etched in Big Said's being.
However, it wasn't until he joined with Rebel Soul Pro, that he began his
transformation into one of the more profound hip-hop/rap artists of today.
Bringing a much needed revitalization to the game, Big Said
is destined to be a unique and vital player. His intense delivery,
heartfelt flows, and originality is sure to make him a legend in his own
right. Big Said is always working harder than anyone in the biz,
attempting to bring the heat he knows the people are accustomed to. You
can always find Big Said up in the studio trying to get it right. "It’s all
in my heart and my soul," he exclaimed. "It’s got to be right, so the
people feel it right."
