As a teen, Sallie Toussaint was driven. She wanted to do things for other people. She first told her father about her idea... Cut to CURRENTLY.... Sallie and and her father, have built and are running an orphanage in Trinidad. They have successfully helped place children find loving and caring homes. Sallie helps to support the orphanage with money she earns in the U.S. from her modeling and acting. As an adjunct to the orphanage they have done some family counseling and have taken in children and women who were in an abusive domestic situation.

Sallie has now become serious about an acting career. Martin Scorsese and Jack Nicholson went through hundreds of actresses to cast Sallie in the new film, The Departed. The movie is set in South Boston, where the state police force is waging war on organized crime. Young undercover cop Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) is assigned to infiltrate the mob syndicate run by gangland chief Costello (Jack Nicholson). While Billy is quickly gaining Costello’s confidence, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon), a hardened young criminal who has infiltrated the police department as an informer for the syndicate, is rising to a position of power in the Special Investigation Unit. Each man becomes deeply consumed by his double life, gathering information about the plans and counter-plans of the operations he has penetrated. But when it becomes clear to both the gangsters and the police that there’s a mole in their midst, Billy and Colin are suddenly in danger of being caught and exposed to the enemy - and each must race to uncover the identity of the other man in time to save himself. Sallie plays two scenes with Jack in the film. In one scene, she is attending the opera with Jack wearing an elegant evening gown and dripping with diamonds. The film also stars Alec Baldwin and Mark Wahlberg. Sallie is definitely an upcoming Hollywood starlet to watch closely.

In The Sopranos season 6, episode 4 titled, "The Fleshy Part of the Thigh," Sallie played the "Blinged-Out Girlfriend" of rapper Da Lux who befriends Tony Soprano in the hospital.
Sallie is currently in the cast of the "Vagina Monologues" in performance till March off the world renowned Broadway in New York City.
