THE MOONSTONES se forma en el verano del 2005, era algo que tenÃa que pasar tarde o temprano y gracias a las facilidades que ahora tenemos con Internet para buscar músicos y al alineamiento de la luna con el quinto planeta todo fue posible.
La idea surge del aburrimiento de la rutina diaria, del cansancio de los grandes excesos..., gracias a la mala televisión, a la soledad que se siente en una ciudad tan llena de gente como Madrid y, sobre todo, a las ganas de tocar rock&roll en directo otra vez con
amigos.La búsqueda fue larga y dura, no somos demasiados a los que nos gusta el
garage, r'&'b, soul, funky y la música sesentera, hubo que dejar en el
camino a unos cuantos virtuosos de la arrogancia y pobres de humildad. Pero
al final los esfuerzos merecieron la pena y nos hemos juntado cinco locos
por la música, bueno, una loca y cuatro locos con mucha ilusión y ganas de
hacer bailar a todo el que tengamos cerca.Nuestras influencias son muy variadas y ricas, no escuchamos sólo garage
aunque quizás sea lo que más nos une y nos gusta tocar en directo, con The
Moonstones hemos querido hacer una mezcla o fusión de estilos entre el
garage, psycho, r&b, funky, soul, country, punk . En un principio, la idea
era hacer un grupo de garage, pero por la voz de nuestra antigua cantante quisimos teñir de negro un poco nuestros temas y sacar los
pantalones de campana, nuestra vieja armónica de blues y a veces desnudar
el Hammond para convertirlo en el piano borracho de Waits. AHORA, con Vero, nuestra actual vocalista, quizá volvamos a nuestra primera intención a la hora de formar THE MOONSTONES, más GARAGE y siempre teniendo presentes las influencias de discos como
Inside Out (Miracle Workers), Blue Train Station (The Cynics), Here are the
Sonics y Boom (Sonics) o On fire (The Lyres), entre otros.Esperamos que os guste nuestra música y que podamos compartir escenario con

The Moonstones was formed in the summer of 2005, it was something that had to happen sooner or later. With the help of Internet we looked for musicians, and the celestial alignment of the Moon with the fitth planet made it possible.
The idea came up out of the boredom of the daily routine, the tiredness of excess..., thanks to TV trash, the loneliness you feel in a city packed with people like Madrid, and most of all, the craving for playing again, live rock & roll with friends The search was long and tough, there's not so many of us, garage-r&b-soul-funk-60's music lovers. We had to leave behind a lot of arrogance virtuosos, so poor at humility. But in the end the effort was worth it, and five music freaks got together, that is one she-freak and four he-freaks, with a passion, and willing to make everyone around dance like crazyOur influences are very rich and diverse, we don't only listen to garage, though that might be what keeps us together, as we love to play it live. With the Moonstones we have tried to make a mix/fussion of styles among garage, psycho, r&b, funk, soul, country, punk... In the beginning the idea was to form a garage band, but due to our old singer's voice we tried to taint our songs negro, and take out the bellbottoms and the good old blues harp, and sometimes strip out the hammond to turn it into Tom Wait's drunken piano. Now, with our new frontwoman, Vero, we think we have returned to the idea of a garage bands, with the sound and inflences of such records as Inside Out (Miracle Workers), Blue Train Station (The Cynics), Here are the Sonics and Sonic Boom (Sonics), On Fyre (The Lyres).We hope you like our music and we can share stage with some of you sometime......................................
