GROOVES XTRA RARE NOW LAUNCHED - CHECK IT OUT!

About Me

For Groovecatcher music means life... taking you from a busy jazz club in the heart of town to a secluded beach to catch the sunrise, from a street-corner to an ocean drive. Groovecatcher's music exudes an elegant cool... but with a free spirit that cannot and will not be tamed.
The inspiration behind Groovecatcher was U.K. composer/producer Simon Cooper, also featuring Belgian singer Manuela Van Geenhoven and U.K. composer/V.J. Phil Webb.
Groovecatcher's debut album After The Rain was released in February 2006 on the Elektrolux label and combines Simon's chilled, downtempo lounge vibes with Phil's cutting edge trip-hop / nu jazz fusion... Manuela's intimate vocals effortlessly adding a mix of sensual elegance to the proceedings.
"After The Rain" created a storm in chill-out and electronic charts worldwide, reaching the Top 10 iTunes album charts in 8 different countries. Tracks from "After The Rain" appeared on many compilations by Sony BMG, Hed Kandi, Universal, Amazon, Zyx Music, Ayia Napa etc.
In addition to this Groovecatcher created a cool Ibiza vibed remix of "Watersong", the new single by fellow chillout artists Fous De La Mer in September 2006.
November 2006 saw Groovecatcher return with the "Further From Home" EP, a DIGITAL ONLY release exclusively on iTunes and Beatport.
The "Further From Home" EP saw Simon and Phil bringing a dynamic cosmopolitan vibe and cinematic depth to their downtempo style... iconic underworld chic and classic '60s/'70s espionage with a contemporary twist... where the Martinis are shaken, not stirred.
The EP features 5 new Groovecatcher downtempo/nu jazz tracks and a 6th bonus track remix of Groovecatcher's classic "The Elektronic Kick" by U.S. producers Soilsound.
January 2007 saw Phil launching his brand new project Grooves Xtra Rare (GXR) once again in collaboration with Simon, and also with other talented musicians, singers and producers worldwide who share their vision.
