Airport is a second home for him. Working weekends are spent in the limelight of nightclubs all over the country. In his headphones you can always hear latest releases from all over the world but after careful selection only few of those genuine and pristine get to the end listener. He doesn’t play “hit” sets but gives fresh and groundbreaking music. Aware of the trends he never compromises his preferences, gracefully balancing between contemporary beauty and demands of the age. He prefers progressive house, electro house, tribal and breaks – the most up to day styles on electronic scene. But all of this is today… DJ Flash was born and raised in Krasnoyarsk, where he first was introduced to the world of dance music. While in 7th grade he starts actively buying cool at the time records of Masterboy, DJ Bobo, Mr. President, Scatman John etc. In 1997 when interest to music transforms into the interest to art of Dj he starts learning it at one of the Krasnoyarsk night clubs, first on CD decks. His professional Dj career starts in 1998 when after his trip to Moscow he brought back something priceless – his own Dj equipment. After a while he starts getting more and more invitations from different clubs of Krasnoyarsk and other cities of Russia. In 1999 together with one of the Krasnoyarsk Djs, Flash opens a show about dance music on one of the local FM radio stations. At the same time he releases his first mix tapes which are being sold on the territory of Krasnoyarsk state. He starts the new millennium as one of the top Djs of the Krasnoyarsk scene. Trying to access bigger audiences Sergey goes to the next level and moves to Moscow. After a while he gets recognized by Moscow public and other Djs. He is on the road again, actively touring Russian cities from Kaliningrad to Uzhno-Sakhalinsk and outside the country spotting London, Stockholm, Munich and Peking. In 2001 Sergey joins a roster of Moscow electronic label “IQ Music” but fundamental differences between him and label management make him leave in the summer of 2002. From August 2002 to April 2005 he is a resident in one of the most popular Moscow clubs – “Slava”. From there Flash moves to club “Iceberg” in Yaroslavl where he is still pleasuring local crowd with exquisite selections every first Friday of the month. Also, since December 2006 he’s a resident of Moscow FM Station “MEGAPOLIS FM”. Always up to date with technology Sergey moves from classic vinyl records to new digital carrier in 2004 – Serato Scratch Live. Lately he starts employing Ableton Live - the software package that opens absolutely new creative possibilities for mixing. It allows remixing tracks on the fly and placing them back into set, transformed. Since 2003 along with his production partner Freza, Sergey starts working on his own tracks. As the result of this collaboration a number of progressive house and breaks tracks were released, including their remix on Depeche Mode “I Feel Loved”. Today they have four vinyl records released on some of the biggest dance labels, such as: Baroque Records (UK), Plastic Fantastic (England), Sog Chrome (Switzerland), Dorigen Music (UK) and Proton (USA) with the remixes of Buick Project (UK) and Steve May (Australia). The latest development from Flash & Freza production duo is their full featured album “Air Trip” released in December of 2006. It includes a number of progressive house and breaks tracks written by partners since 2003. In addition to that you can hear remixes from talented Russian producers, such as: Ivan Spell, Dj Pilot (Sergey Tkachev), SKAM, 4MAL and DP-6. This CD is being sold on the territory of Russia and former Soviet Union countries. You can also see it on top mp3 download sites like Beatport, Release Records, 3 Beat, Juno, Dj Download etc. Many more production works are queued for future releases and this is just the beginning. Since January of 2006, Dj Flash becomes a resident of one of the biggest American internet radio stations called “ETN.FM” (www.etn.fm), where he and Freza have a 3 hour show each Monday from 6pm to 9 pm Moscow time. During his Dj career Flash played alongside with such names as NICK WARREN, SATOSHI TOMIIE, ANTHONY PAPPA, SANDER KLEINENBERG, DANNY HOWELLS, CHRIS FORTIER, ECHOMEN, DAVE SEAMAN, FUTURESHOCK, STEVE LAWLER, VICTOR CALDERONE, RUI DA SILVA, QUIVVER, X-PRESS 2, KING UNIQUE, SISTER BLISS, JOHN CREAMER, KASEY TAYLOR, BARRY GILBEY, ASHLEY CASSELLE, CIRCULATION, ROWAN BLADES, LEE BURRIDGE, HECTOR ROMERO, TARRENTELLA & REDANKA, PARKS & WILSON, DIFFERENT GEAR, MOUSSA CLARKE. Today, it can be said without holding back that DJ Flash took his place in the pantheon of Russian Djs. Consistently in the first twenty of Russian TOP 100 DJ’s he is a choice of more then 20 thousand voters of the club portal dj.ru from all over the country.
