Ricky Ryan from Argentina has been djing for almost six years. Its due to his relentless search for quality, that has enabled him to progress at a remarkably fast pace.

In 2005, Ricky Ryan became resident at Warung Beach Club (Santa Catarina, Brazil), one of the most acclaimed venues at the moment, ranked by DJ Mag and Mixmag as one of the best clubs in the world. This came as a consequence of his hard work and constant touring, taking part in several events and festivals in venues around the globe such as Pacha, Mint, Smirnoff Experience, D-Edge, Pokerflat Tour, BUE, Dance Connection, Personal Fest, Space World Tour, South American Music Conference & Creamfields - sharing in the line up with Massive Attack, Rinocerose, Andy Fletcher (Depeche Mode), FC Kahuna, The Human League, Herbalizer, Junior Sanchez, Slacker, Darren Emerson, Groove Armada, Paul Oakenfold, Plump Djs, Dub Pistols, Tom Middleton, Erick Morillo, Marco Carola, Christian Smith, Marco Bailey, Mistress Barbara, Adam Beyer, & Richie Hawtin.
With jazz, vocals, guitar & piano knowledge - under his Can Costa moniker - Ricky has already released own productions and remixes on Vapourise, Babylon, CPR, Mining Vinyl, Music is Freedom, Fiberline Audio, Proton Music, Kaya & Mashtronic Records. He's collaborated with other well known artists like MOS, Max Cagliero, Joshua Collins, Kosmas Epsilon and has been remixed by D-Nox & Beckers, Pig & Dan, Fat Phaze, Shafunkers, Smight, Blendbrank, Shiloh, Pj Davy, Eddie F, 16 Bit Lolitas & Mashtronic. Can Costa's releases have broken sales charts worldwide, reaching ..1 at Juno, Beatport, Balance Record Pool, & Magnetic Grooves.
His music has recieved support from Sasha, Digweed, Danny Tennaglia, Deep Dish, Pete Tong, Hernan Cattaneo, Luke Fair, Desyn Masiello, Lee Burridge, Sander Kleinenberg, Nic Fanciulli / Skylark, James Zabiela, Omid 16B, Satoshi Tomiie, Adam Freeland, Steve Gerrard, Jimmy Van M, Josh Wink, Anthony Pappa, Nick Warren, & Steve Lawler to name a few.
Ricky's "Featured Artist" mix for Proton Radio reached over 1,000 listeners. This was the first time for listener levels to reach this bench mark, achieving world record.
He recently lined up alongside Moby, Fergie & Dave Angel at Nokia Trends in front of around 20.000 people. Nowadays, Ricky spends most of his time producing music and promoting events, not to mention djing. He currently holds a residency at Discomaniac & Superclub sharing the booth with weekly guests such as Greg Vickers, Jody Wisternoff from Way out West, Paul Rogers, Kasey Taylor, Stephane K, Sean Cusick, Christian Cambas, & Christopher Lawrence.
Ricky Ryan has been mentioned by Desyn Masiello & Danny Howells as a "DJ that will breakthrough in 2006" in world known DJ MAG.
On July 8th of 2006 Ricky was featured as guest on John Digweed´s legendary Transitions, being the third Argentinean (along with Hernan Cattaneo & Martin Garcia) to have a spot on the acclaimed show, with around 30 tracks blended in a 60 minutes mix!
Ricky Ryan has released his first official compilation for Proton Radio. The first volume of the Feedback series was built with entirely exclusive songs collected as Ricky travelled the globe while touring, featuring previously unreleased singles from well known artists and upcoming talents, all of them subsequently released unmixed on the Proton Music label. The compilation was a sales success, with more than 2000 copies placed worldwide. The second volume of the Feedback series hits the streets in april of 2007.
Ricky has launched his own new labels, Sick Watona & Avangardia. Both labels are distributed by Proton Music imprint and are already gaining amazing repercution, with its past and upcoming releases receiving support from the most important djs from all over the world such as Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, and Tiesto, to name a few.
Ricky's also back in the studio. Alongside his production partner Max Cagliero, and under his Can Costa moniker, they recently released remixes to tracks for the likes of Eddie F, Joshua and Steve Porter, which have reached the highest positions in the sales charts in sites as Juno and Magnetic Grooves.
Nowadays, Ricky Ryan aka Can Costa spends most of his time producing music and promoting events, not to mention djing around the world. His promotional mixes are munched down at express speed on download sites. He has also been played a pivotal leadership role in the rise of South American talent via Feedback Bookings.
Ricky's sound is distinguished by a broad variety of music styles, from beautiful warm house, to big pumping dance floor anthems. Under his Can Costa moniker, Ricky is also a prolific producer and remixer is his own right, with a bunch of number ones in the sales charts of online stores such as Beatport and Juno.
