Dorian was born in Paris on March 8th, 1984.
Dorian became involved with the scene 4 years ago after hearing John
Digweed spin at ....the cave.... in Dominican Republic.
Digweed shaped his mind; the experience was an awakening;
for the first time in his life he knew who he really was in essence: a DJ.
A little over a month later Sasha, performing the same venue, achieved his
mutation, molding his soul into one of house music true children.
Since then, he has been traveling the world in an ever going quest for music,
educating crowds, constantly fighting discrimination and preconceived ideas,
to keep the vibe and scene alive.
He started his carrier as a manager/agent for Fade records artist: Abagale Fischer.
Touring all over the Dominican Republic, he got his first insight into the DJ
world from the other side of the fence.
Taking 8 hour trips by bus 2 to 3 times a week, carrying record bags,
cradles, boxes full of vinyl’s, handling negotiations, dealing with club
managers, promoters, bookings, contracts, planning of the tour, taking care
of the accommodations, promoting his first events.
Almost a year later, he decided to move up to NYC were Dorian Proceeded
in his mission of discovering and learning as much as possible about House,
NYC scene and its music.
It was only natural that he was pulled towards the NYC underground were,
through a common friend, he met Amos Damon aka DJ Fame (www.dj-fame.com ),
Sullivan room’s (www.sullivanroom.com) longest standing resident DJ.
After a few months surviving of random low income jobs, Dorian decided to
get back into the game organizing in partnership with Simply Bangin (www.simplybangin.com)
and visionario artist management (www.visionario.com.do) a Resident DJ exchange between Abacus
(Pablo Pou..s club, PAV entertainment) and Sullivan Room.
It was the first of four trips to Dominican Republic for Dj Fame and the first
NYC gig for Dominican Republic’s best house DJ, Mr. O..Neil (www.visionario.com.do ).
After the event, Dorian moved back to Santo Domingo and locked himself
away from civilization for a couple of years to work on his Djing.
Throw those two years of confinement, Dorian spent almost every day
spinning from 8 to 16 hours a day.
When he wasn’t behind the decks he was studying house music history,
producers, tracks, labels, sounds, building himself a music library
aside from becoming manager of the Cave, handling all electronic music
matters for the venue, promoting events under ....gravity: floating sounds....
or working alongside Visionario grupo creativo (www.visionario.com.do )
and S-sensacion (www.s-sensacion.com ) on parties with guest dj..s such as:
Dj Fame (dubsided), Nathan john Gordon (Melt music),
Kai (Yoshitoshi), Jerome Pacman (Fcom), Green Velvet (cajmere),
Diego Rok-a (cocoon) …
Second semester 2006, Dorian started taking his first gigs in
the Dominican Republic, spinning in parties in the middle of the woods, hidden raves
and some of the most prestigious venues in the country (Jelly Fish, Mangu, Soles, Next club...)
landing residencies at the cave, Om lounge and Bobo..s lounge.
On the mean time, as an act of rebellion against the new 2AM curfew law,
he turned his apartment into an underground bar.
Hosting every week end, the outrageous and totally illegal house syndicate nights,
which became famous for its partying and Dorian’s extensive Dj sessions ( from 8 to 14 hours sets ).
Early 2007, Dorian played his first international gig at ....Be.... in Caracas, Venezuela.
At his return, he hosted his last House syndicate night: Tiesto..s after party.
The authorities and the neighbors finally managed, after six month of constant
conflict, to shut him down.
Based in Brasilia at the moment, while preparing for his next move,
he landed at his arrival a residency at bar concentracao and
is a regular at Boca Negra club.

Robert Jan Meyer aka Minus 8 is one of them.
He tarted making music at the end of the 80’s. At the beginning of the 90’s
Robert launched his Minus8 project as a slow and peaceful answer to all
the plus 8 madness that was prevalent in club music at the time.
