About Me

It's hard to sum yourself up within a little box, not that anyone will ever pay any attention. If you talk to me, chances are you'll like me. I'm just that awesome. I guess if you're really interested in some sort of summary, here goes... I've lived in Winnipeg all my life. Born, raised and will probably die here. I graduated from the U of M this past Spring with a Bachelor in Education where I specialized in Early Years (K - 4). A classroom teaching grades 2 or 3 with a pirate flag consuming all of one wall, is my goal. I plan on warping as many young minds as possible. When I graduated, I decided to take some time to get into this teaching thing. My last teaching experience was far from fantastic, so subbing is the life for me now. I hope it'll give me a chance to get some great ideas and meet some cool people. So far so good. When I was student teaching in my grade 1/2 class last year, one of the little boys told me, "I want you to stay with me forever!" I love him. Though I'm sure he would have dumped me like yesterday's garbage for a new BeyBlade which pretty much sums up my relationship with guys. But that's cool. Who doesn't like a creepy old cat lady?! Recently, I've taken on a new job. I'm now Program Coordinator for one of the youth programs that I'd been previously working for. I have to handle staffing, budgeting, payroll, outings, events, and the like. The program is one which strives to maintain an Aboriginal focus, so I think that it will help me learn a lot. Hopefully, what's started out as a trial, will become a permanent postition for a few months. We'll see. I have a pretty big family and I love kids. My neices and nephews are amazing people and I love them to pieces. I'm the best Auntie on the face of the Earth--true story. Ask them. People tend to think I'm crazy... I laugh at my own jokes and can be rather sarcastic, but it's genetic. I have the sense of humour of a 8 year old, sometimes. It's grand! I could easily spend an hour in the Halloween of any store and people that could do the same with me are aces. I think that a great sense of humour is by far the sexiest trait a person can have. Well, I guess beside things like honesty, kindness, sincerity...blah! I'm addicted to this damn website so if you leave me a comment or message it'll pretty much make my day.Get Your Own! | View Slideshow My pirate name is: Black Mary Bonney Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr! Get your own pirate name from piratequiz.com.
