Sounds Like: As with many a rock band, Hello Swindon has endured the seemingly requisite line-up changes that occur without much downtime. Originally formed by Vick and Semple in 1999, along with sax player Jake Mann and founding bassist Erich Cameron, Hello Swindon has suffered these setbacks without losing momentum. Mann left in May 2001 to attend school in Virginia and Cameron departed in March of 2002 to pursue a career in fire fighting. The band recorded a new album at the beginning of January 2003, which will be released in May 2003. The new album, Pioneer Ten, contains ten new songs and represents the bands best effort yet.

At the bands core, Semple and Vick, who share vocal duties, have helped maintain focus while weathering change. Frenetic singer/guitarist Semple spent his formative years playing in edgy, hard rock band Contradiction throughout California and all over the West coast. Honey-toned Virginian Vick honed his vocal and percussive skills performing in a cappella groups up and down the East Coast, as well as with Phoenix-based, Radio Theory. Sax player and backing vocalist, Todd Sisk, who joined the band in June 2001, developed his melodic, yet down and dirty style through years playing in the Arizona State University marching band, in addition to local rock bands, Minds of Stone, and most recently, Bliss. Matthew Schafman joined the band in November 2005, bringing a fresh new low end to the sound, which comes from years playing in bands such as Jones Fracture and Moffit.

Unique and just plain fun, Hello Swindon is capable of raising the roof on any venue with their exciting and wild live show. Performing live is one of the bands strongest traits. Onstage, the band members attempt to push each other to the limit, while creating a party-like atmosphere that helps get the crowd involved with the music. By continuously performing in the Phoenix area and going on short, regional tours Hello Swindon hopes to bring the music to as many people as possible. See this band whenever and wherever you can!
