Blaine Long (born November 12, 1975 in Parkersburg, West Virginia) grew up listening to the sounds of the Beatles, The Police, Johnny Cash, Arlo Guthrie and Rod Stewart. He began singing and playing guitar in high school with a few garage bands but became serious about songwriting in 1993. He is first and foremost a songwriter and performer. Blaine’s shows are more than a presentation of songs, they are an experience akin to hanging out with him at home. To enjoy a Blaine Long show is to get a warm combination of your favorite comedian and acoustic artist. Blaine takes the stage with quick wit and songs that are more storytelling improv than anything else. Blaine is honest and raw and that’s what makes his show so worthwhile and his songs an expression of beauty captured in verse. Containing a raised degree of sensitivity found in the most troubled of poets, Blaine is a rare mix of heightened awareness wrapped in a shell of prickly humor; the stripe of a born again extrovert. Blaine currently resides in Chandler, AZ with his wife and their two dogs.
