About Me

I'm a housewife who occasionally looks for a job; although I haven't had one in six years. I have my children at home (birth) and like to breastfeed them for years. I just won grand champion at the Clatsop County Fair for my canned tuna! I'm always changing......

Music:

Jam bands. I like Widespread Panic, Moe., Medeski, Martin and Wood, Leftover Salmon, Janis Joplin, Led Zepplin, Grateful Dead, Phish, Galactic, The Whitestripes, Jurrasic Five and one million others.

Movies:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Box of Moonlight, High in the Sky, The Piano, Danny Deckchair, Napoleon Dynamite, whale rider. I always forget the titles of those I've seen and re-rent them to my families dismay.

Television:

I don't have one. Sometimes I watch Oprah in my sons room......scratchy picture with the help of rabbit ears. Guess what folks the last storm did something to the TV in his room so I don't even watch Ofrah anymore!

Books:

I just finished the Echo makers. I heard about it on NPR and it wasn't a bad read. It addresses the new information regarding ourselves as plural and not the singular "I." It really reaffirmed the counseling I get. I was intrigued by the author because he was some sort of a computer genius, a brain surgeon and then became an author and won a national award. The most moving book I read this year was Housewife to Heretic by Sonia Johnson and I'm ready to start her next one.

Heroes:

My great Grandmother. Those who can listen to, and embrace their "parts."
