The Riverdales were a band from Chicago which formed in 1994. They released their self-titled debut album in 1995, touring extensively that year as the opening act for the Mr. T Experience, and then for Green Day. They haven't played a show since then, but they have released two more albums. Their masterpiece album, Storm the Streets, came out in 1997 on Honest Don's, and is still available on compact disc and vinyl. Their terribly-underrated third album, Phase Three came out in 2003, shocking those who thought the band would never make another record.
Be on the look out for remastered versions of both Riverdales and Phase Three on Asian Man Records . Look for the same improvements in sound quality you may already be enjoying if you own the new Asian Man Screeching Weasel and Queers reissues, but with the added excitement of additional tracks! Riverdales is already out!
