Here Come The Teardrops

About Me

Amber Digby is an artist who is climbing to the top of her game in the country music business. This gifted young woman is a pure natural on stage and her vocals portray a wisdom and maturity way beyond her years.
She was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee by two talented parents who were already working in the music industry. With her large musical family behind her, it is safe to say that Amber literally grew up on stage. Her mother was a harmony singer with Connie Smith, and her father played bass for Loretta Lynn for almost twenty years.
Amber started singing with bands in clubs at the age of fifteen. She was a featured female vocalist with the Missouri based bands, Prairie Wind and Livewire. In 1997, she performed at the Tulsa Bluegrass festival, and the Tulsa Channel 8 talent show. She also sang at the Iowa State Rodeo in 1998. Amber recorded her first demo, featuring four songs, in Branson, Missouri at Branson Studio. It featured musicians from the Moe Bandy and Mel Tillis road shows. In addition, was produced by her step-dad and famed steel guitarist Dicky Overbey.
She recorded her first CD, entitled "Music From The Honky Tonks" in 2002 in Austin, Texas. Amber Digby and Justin Trevino produced this masterpiece. It was released independently and later picked up. This CD has received attention from all over the world selling worldwide and creating an overwhelming fan base. It took her on her first international tour playing the Furuvik Counrty Festival in Furuvik, Sweden, Planica Slovinia, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, Australia. "Music From The Honky Tonks" has maintained a spot at the top of numerous charts on FM and internet radio stations for two plus years.
Her latest CD, entitled "Here Come The Teardrops" was released on June 1st of 2006. Produced by Justin Trevino and recorded at Justin Trevino Studios in Martindale, Texas. The Musicians on "Here Come The Teardrops": Justin Trevino- Rhythm guitar, Jake Hooker- Bass, Dicky Overbey- Steel guitar and Dobro, Jim Loessberg- Drums, Ronnie Huckabee- Piano, Bobby Flores- Fiddle, Dave Biller- Lead guitar, Leona Williams, Justin Trevino, and Amber Digby- Harmony vocals. It is quite an impressive follow up taking her back over seas to play the Skjak Country Festival in Skjak, Norway and the Ydre Country Festival in Ydre, Sweden. Since the CD's release, it has been selling worldwide and generating some serious buzz amongst musicians and the upper circles of the industry as well. Amber was also nominated for Female vocalist of the year 2006 by the Academy of Western Artists (AWA). By the readers of the Scandanavian magazine,Kountry Korall, she was recently voted "Female Artist Of The Year", along with her latest CD, 'Here Come The Teardrops' being voted "International Album Of The Year".
If you have XM radio, then you may have heard her music. Tunes off her CDs are favorites among the DJs and listening audience who tune in to XM channel 13, "Willie's Place". When Amber visited the XM studios, Willie Nelson, personally called in to thank her for being a part of "Willie's Place", and for carrying on the tradition of true country music.
Amber Digby is truly one of the most refreshing country artists out today. She has already established a place for herself with the best. Her beautiful and pure vocals will astound you. She is not one to miss...her future is bright, and she is clearly here to stay!
