Once Upon A Time In A Honky Tonk...

About Me

Kimberly began singing in church with her mother at the tender age of four years old. She grew up in central Texas listening to the sounds of the greats like Ray Price, Buck Owens, Tammy Wynette and Connie Smith. These artist's styles are evident in Kimberly's performances. She is a regular performer on the Llano Opry in Llano Texas. Kimberly also writes music and is studying fiddle and guitar. She was named as a Female Vocalist nominee from the Cross Timbers Opry Association in 2005 and was chosen as the week 5 winner in the KTFW Crowman's Acoustic Jam and Songwriters contest. She was asked to perform the National Anthem at the Texas Sheriff's Association annual dedication ceremony and as a result received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Association for her "exemplary service" during the ceremony. She enjoys songwriting and has been writing with good friend Justin Trevino. These songs will be on her upcoming album titled "Once Upon A Time In A Honky Tonk". It will also include songs she wrote herself as well as some traditional country songs originally recorded by Wanda Jackson, Connie Smith, Melba Montgomery and Mel Tillis. Aside from her performances at Opry houses across Texas you can occasionally catch her sharing the stage with Texas Greats such as Jake Hooker's Outsiders, Justin Trevino, CB Sutton's Outcast Band, the Bobby Flores Band and Landon Dodd and the Dancehall Drifters. It's an exciting time for Kimberly and her career in the Texas Honky Tonk Music scene! Her debut album is now available for purchase online here and on Her website! To Purchase Kimberly's Album "Once Upon A Time In A Honky Tonk" Click on the Buy Now Button. Thanks!

The slide show above consists of photos I raided from my Mom's collection. My Mom Liz and her two sisters Loys and Noma Lee spent their early years performing in the west Texas area as the group The Berry Sisters. It is from them that I inherited my love of real traditional country music. These are just a few of the pics I have. I will be uploading more in a few days time. I hope you enjoy this look at the past with 3 of my heroes!
