Unknown to citizens of the State of Florida, Miami has been rich with talent
since before the recent surge of popularity being given to the likes of Rick
Ross, Trick Daddy, Cool & Dre and others. Awetopsy is a collection of talented
M.C.'s from Miami, Florida which encompasses several sleeper cells. The group
came together as several individual acts (The Backyard Boyz/S.O.P.)
(Trigganometry/Dem Boyz) and Livewire and formed a collective that has yet to be
seen by any in the music industry since the formation of the Wu Tang Clan. Each
individual in the group (Twig, Jay, Feelthy Cel, Big Bam, Livewire, Lil
Durte'/Lodown, Scarecrow, b/Elliot Ness, and Gutta Man/T-Rex) brings a unique
style and quality in their rhymes and personality to allow the group to come
together like Voltron.
All of which were signed to First String Entertainment,
a promising company which was headed by D.P. Though the group's name would lead
one to believe that the forthcoming album would talk about chaos, death and
destruction, songs such as Education, Bad News, and Fuck Da Industry expresses
the group's ability to discuss a wide array of topics. With companies such as
Epic and WEA expressing interest in group, it would appear that the unit would
establish a foot hold in the music industry and fortify themselves as hip-hop
elite. Unfortunately, events lead to the group's separation at a time when
their full potential had yet to be for filled. After time apart, the group has
returned with a collection of hit songs, some of which are ahead of their time.
Though this is just a brief summary of the group's history, these songs should
leave you salivating for more information.
