ARTICULATED MOVEMENT
Although the pair originally met in 1993 through javas older brother and became good friends it wasnt until January 2006 when dj Kid asked Java to remix a track off his label (DC Breaks Do U Believe).. Since then Java and Deception have been receiving a lot of support from various djs playing there dubs in clubs and on the airwaves.................................
Looking forward to 2007 they plan to have a few releases under their belt with regular dj bookings in the UK and abroad.
Java's Biography
Java was first introduced to drum and bass towards the end of 1992 after hearing a dj hype mixtape and was hooked from there on. Over the next year he slowly started to build up his record collection, and it wasnt till 94 that he was introduced to a pair of decks by paul ( deception ) and taught the basics of mixing.
In the summer of 95 java done a two week work experience at Unity Records in Soho, working alongside Smokey Joe and Noodles who helped refine his dj skills.
The next four years were spent djing at local parties and raving, it wasnt till Origin fm started in 2000 that Java decided to take things seriously. From joining origin fm in mid 2000 java worked his way from the graveyard set to Saturdays 6 till 8pm show alongside mc Nu Flo as part of the smashment crew. Along the way he has djed at various venues including; Ministry of Sound, Bagleys, Herbal, Coronet, La Scala, Koko's, Bar Rumba, Stratford Rex, Milleniums, Que club, Zest, Dungeons and events including, Best of British, Breakin Science, strictly Digital, Club Origin, Hysteria, Movement, Formation Recs 15 birthday, Together As One, Menace To Scociety, Battle of the Mcs, Planet DnB tour nights, Total Eclipse. Java has also played on various internet stations including Pyrotechnics, Planet DnB, Life fm, Ruff Radio and London Live and Direct..
In 2004 Java had two tracks signed to Nookies label strictly Digital and in 2007 The Triangle and Black Mystery were released under the alias Articulated Movement ( alongside Deception ) on Reformed recordings.
With radio and club support from various DJ's including Grooverider (Radio 1), DJ SS, Futurebound, RuffStuff, DJ Spice, Crissy Criss ( 1 Xtra ), Vital Elements, Bryan G, Die and Clipz, Ashatak, Probe and Pappa Gee 2008 looks to be a bright year.
