I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Well, I’ve been a professional writer since 1986, so I’ve just entered my second decade in this crazy business with over 300 published credits. I live with artist Lisa Bandemer, our two nearly human dogs and five diabolical cats. We recently moved to an atmospheric old neighborhood in Saint Paul, MN, surrounded by real mummies, fossil dinosaur skeletons, and live gorillas within just a few miles of us. Just doesn't get any better than that...

My Interests

Paleontology. Paranormal & UFOs. Cryptozoology. Classic Horror, Science Fiction, & Mystery books & films, pulps, comic books.

I'd like to meet:

Mary Shelley, Boris Karloff, Harry Houdini, Will Eisner, Bruce Jones, April Campbell, Jenna Enemy, Linda Ronstadt, Jesse Keller, E.C. Segar, Lou Costello, Merian C. Cooper, Willis O'Brien, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Forrest J Ackerman, Roy Chapman Andrews, Paul McCartney, H.G. Wells, Richard Pryor, Ray Bradbury, Rye-N, Peter Jackson, George Reeves, Don Glut, Howard Hopkins, Mike Ploog, Johnny Weismuller, Kim Olson, Michael Hudson, Philip Jose Farmer, Christopher Lee, Charles Knight, Thomas Floyd and any truly alien life-form, I'm not picky. Yes, I fully realize that I've already met some of the people on this list, but that's no excuse for never meeting them again, is it? Also, yes, I know there are a few here who, sadly, no longer walk the Earth, but--although I highly doubt it--I do hope I get the chance to meet them someday anyway.

Music:

Beatles, Linda Ronstadt, ELO, Billy Joel, Chris Isaak, Marvin Gaye, Simon & Garfunkle

Movies:

KING KONG, BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, HORROR OF DRACULA, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, FORBIDDEN PLANET, SPIDER-MAN II, THE ILLUSIONIST

Television:

Don't watch tv.

Books:

Yeah, I like books.

Heroes:

The folks in my "wanna meet" list.
