About Me

I am sick of talking about me. Let's talk about YOU.Actually, I will tell you some things about me.

First, I am an author; I write books. This (to your left) is the cover of my BOOK. Is everyone clear on this? Great!

My first love is writing for young adults. I have two amazing books that will be published--they will--because I believe in them. So that's where I spend most of my time, writing for YA.

I don't poke badgers with spoons. Generally a bad idea. I am myself; no more, no less. I do my best every day. I am a mom, so have a little respect.

I am impeccable with my word and strive to be honorable in my dealings with myself and others. If you are local and you want to be my friend, great. If you are a writer or publisher, reviewer or agent, great. If you are out of state and you don't know me from Adam (or Eve) shoot me an email and tell me why you want me on your friends list, please. If you don't, I won't approve you. I have too many friends with whom I don't communicate on here as it is.

I am here for networking and friends. If you are a guy trolling for sex, click your little "Back" button and keep browsing. Find the women with the above-her-cleavage-photo shot or the short skirt-showing-the-junk from behind as she bends over. They are a better bet than me. BY FAR. Trust me. If you are seeking connection with a real woman, then we'll talk. You would have read this profile word-for-word if you are a genius, and you'll know what to do from there.

I am complicated, but I own my stuff, and I expect the same. I am a conundrum; if you have to look that up, then you probably don't know me and you probably shouldn't waste your time.

I like Indian food. I don't like summer squash. I know how to spell 'gamut'and 'ridiculous'. I am funny as hell when I want to be. I like to laugh. I like good wine, dark beer, simple pleasures and great minds.

Come find me.

You are Strength

Courage, strength, fortitude. Power not arrested in the act of judgement, but passing on to further action, sometimes obstinacy.

This is a card of courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion's mouth, in others she shuts it. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. That forces can be controlled and used to score a victory is very close to the message of the Chariot, which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that is card 8 instead of Strength. With strength you can control not only the situation, but yourself. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.

My Interests

Writing. Poetry. Life. Life interests me.

  • Woman Savers

  • You Are Grape
You are bold and a true individual. You are very different and very okay with that.
People know you as a straight shooter. You're very honest, even when the truth hurts.
You are also very grounded and practical. No one is going to sneak anything by you.
People enjoy your fresh approach to life. And it's this honesty that makes you a very innovative person. What Color Purple Are You?
You scored as C.G. Jung. You are more of a spiritualist than would be immediately apparent. Some of your notions are questioned by the cynical, but deep down you know the human consciousness is more than the flesh and tissue can account for. You tend to take a scientific observationist look on matters the average person wouldn't even begin to analyze. You personally are responsible for most of the ideas that are floating around in modern psychologist's/psychic's paltry little skulls. On the down side, you tend to be associated with that asshole Freud.

    I'd like to meet:

People who like writing, karaoke and fresh peas. People who do not like zucchini. I'd also like to meet any and all transvestite-comedians named Eddie. If anyone knows anyone resembling that description, please let me know.

If you want me as a "friend", shoot me a quick email to let me know why. I don't like being part of a collection, and I keep in REAL contact with my MySpace friends as best as I can (In between writing and promoting novels, teaching and raising three kids and running a household....)You know, that stuff.

If you are judgmental, trolling for sex or mean....MOVE ON.

    Never Date a Scorpio
Jealous, paranoid, and possessive - deep down, your Scorpio will never trust you.
And even if you are very trust worthy person, Scorpio's paranoia may drive you to act out.

Instead try dating: Aries, Gemini, Libra, or Sagittarius What Sign Shouldn't You Date?
    You Are From Jupiter
You are exuberantly curious - and you love to explore newness.
Enthusiastic and optimistic, you get a kick out of stimulating intellectual discussions.
Foreign cultures and languages fascinate you. You love the outdoors, animals, and freedom.
Chances are you tend to exaggerate, so try to keep a lid on that.
If you do, you'll continue to be known for your confidence, generosity, and sense of justice. What Planet Are You From?

    You're Hawaii!
When they first meet you, few people can tell whether you want to say hello or goodbye. Either way, most of them will end up saying that you're their favorite person to visit, if only they could afford the trip. But your soft and warm image is belied by an explosive undercurrent in your personality than can leave you drenched with tears or boiling with anger for days on end. You are rather fond of using plants as clothing.
