-middleworld had a unique brand of music that can be described as intense, beautiful, violent, melodic, heavy, ambient, and sexy.
I don't know if y'all have heard the rumors, but we now, in fact, NO LONGER EXIST AS OF THE END OF APRIL 2006. We are all done now.
You know how some bands, like the Rolling Stones for example, can just go on forever? And how other bands, like Refused or Helmet or Soundgarden have to stop even though they could keep going because they've musically "said" all they have to "say"? (The same could definitely be argued for the Rolling Stones, but that's not our job to tell them that they should stop making asses of themselves on halftime Super Bowl shows) Well, we fall into the latter category.
The five of us have done all that we can together, and I (Matt) along with Marc, Carson, Kevin and Victor, would like to thank the following people for their involvement in Middleworld: Jason Petit (bass guitar 2005), David Stephan (bass guitar 2001-2004), Alex May (bass guitar 1999-2001), Dana Pulver (bass guitar 1997-1999), Amy Cottington (bass guitar 1996-1997), Brad Van Dyke (guitar 1996-1997), Josh Frederick (vocals 1996-1997) and Eric Price (vocals/percussion 1997-2001). The people I just listed all helped us, in some form or fashion, create and perform as Middleworld, so if you know them, tell them thanks from us. We would like to thank all of our friends and family and fans who've made the last...yeah...like 10 years really awesome. We've enjoyed it but our time has come and we've all got different things in the works, so...enjoy life and we'll keep on doing what we do. Be on the look-out for new stuff from several members of this band, as some of us are working on a new project. It will be awesome, I guarantee it. Thanks again.love,
