My name is Troy Dean Shafer and I live in Nashville, TN. I am 26 years old, and have lived in Nashville for 2 years. I don't have a constant band, but I do sit in and play with local bands from time to time. My favorite place to sing is Tootsie's located in downtown Nashville. I will be recording new songs soon. I like to write songs with other people, so please get ahold of me if anyone wants to songwrite. Influences: I really appreciate Traditional Country Music. Such as Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Roy Acuff, Buck Owens, George Jones, and many others.Artists more recent are Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Billy Currington, George Strait, Craig Morgan....My all time biggest influence though is Elvis Presley.
Sounds Like: I am told that I sound like a mix between Elvis and Garth Brooks.
