About Me
Longtime New York area stage and studio guitarist, Phil Roselle, started his career at an early age as the guitarist in the house band at the original Lone Star Cafe on Fifth Avenue in NYC with the band RD1. Alongside Phil in the band, was Phil's longtime friend, Jonathan Yudkin. Together, the band played with some of the top recording artists of all time, including Sam & Dave, Johnny Winter, Albert Collins, Willie Nelson, Johnny Paycheck, and Kinky Friedman. Phil has also played with another legendary house band NYC. Again, Phil teamed up with lifelong friend Anthony Krizan (who later was the guitarist in Spin Doctors). NYC, the band, played with such acts as Meatloaf and Pearl Jam, and were a main stay at Manhattan clubs, such as The Ritz, CBGBs, and Kenny's Castaways. After years of coaxing from his friend, Jonathan Yudkin (one of the most recorded multi-string players in Nashville for over the last 25 years playing on records by Big & Rich, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood), Phil moved to Nashville in January 2007. Since then, Phil has been working on numerous recording and live projects. Phil proudly became a member of the Sowing Circle in late Spring 2007. The Sowing Circle consists of longtime Nashville songwriter Billy Falcon, along with Rose Falcon, the Mulch Brothers, Maydayground, David Fair, Jonathan Yudkin, and Pino. The Sowing Circle can be seen live every Thursday night at the Blue Bar on Broadway in the heart of Music Row in Nashville, USA.
