About Me

Alan Emslie is a professional musician born, bred & living in Scotland. Alan's work is eclectic to say the least & ranges from Metal to World Music and Orchestral to Progressive/Experimental & Improvised Music. Alan is a classically trained percussionist & self taught drummer/vocalist/guitarist & keyboardist who can be found working with the likes of The Super Furry Animals, Billy Bates, Harmonieband (London), The Scottish Chamber Orchestra (Scotland), De Nederlandse Bachvereniging (The Netherlands), Emmanuelle Haïm's baroque music ensemble le Concert d’Astrée (France), DIMP (Dark Improvised Music Project...see friends below) & peforming his own Metal/Prog music which is extremely dark and has elements of Death/Doom/Black/Gothic & Industrial Metal. In this vein Alan is currently writing and recording KING OF TERRORS which will be released February 11th 2008. See www.myspace.com/kingsofterrors
