About Me

I play the dobro (squareneck, resonator guitar). I play some lap steel and mandolin as well. I was born in Texas, grew up in Nashville, moved away several times and moved back. I currently play in the band the "Dry Valley Gamblers" out of Cookeville, TN. I often sit in with other Nashville bands and artists at various gigs around town. I generally love all musical genres and enjoy playing whatever, as long as it's real music made by real people. I have a "Myspace music" page because after much resistance to joining Myspace, my friend talked me into getting on here with a music page, so that's what I did, although I now treat it as more of a personal page. I am not on here to promote myself or see how many "friends" I can get. I am very blessed with many real friends, but I always like getting to know new people. I am a guy with many interests outside of music, so if you want to know something about me, write me, and if you don't seem too creepy or stalkerish, I'll probaly respond. Some of my other interests are: photography, traveling, snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding, wakeskating, mountain biking, soccer, footbag, hiking, camping, fishing, shooting, canoeing, disc golf, working out, psychology, sociology, Southern Appalachian music & culture, politics, science, philosophy, driving fast, eating good and being healthy.
