Only when it's dark enough can you see the stars!

About Me

My greatest memory When I was a young girl my brother and I would hike up to the top of the largest hill in town in our snow shoes, he could carry me most of the way because I was very young at the time. I would sit on the top of the hill wraped up in a bundle of clothes, my eyelashes full of ice and my hair whiping across my face and he would kneel down beside me and we would sit for hours and talk about life and god and the world. I barely understood what it was all about. All the while we would stare up at the glow of the northern lights. You can't quite explain how amazing and beautiful they are unless you have seen them and stared at them long enough to become a part of them. I used to ask my brother what they where and he would tell me that they were angels dancing and watching the world, keeping us safe and letting us know that we were not alone. They were a constant in my life, thats why I write about them now. For the very small amount of years I have been here, at the greatest moments like my sisters graduation or when I first got my dog Crystal and at the worst moments when my brother Will went to war and when my other brother died on Christmas..My angels my northern lights kept me company and told me secrets as they have to many throughout all times.. My strength grows from my sister Arora Borealis.

Aurora in MythologyAurora was the ancient Roman equivalent of Eos, the ancient Greek goddess of the dawn. Aurora is the Latin word for dawn. Aurora renewed herself every morning at dawn and flies across the sky, announcing the morning's arrival. The Vikings believed that The Valkyrior warlike women, mounted upon horses and armed with spears.Rode across the sky, their armour sheds a strange flickering light, which flashes up over the northern sky.An old Scandinavian name for northern lights translates as herring flash. It was believed that northern lights were the reflections cast by large swarms of herring onto the sky In Inuit folklore, northern lights were the spirits of the dead.
