About Me

Jason started the JT Band over eight years ago. They first performed in April 1999 at Bar Lorca Wine Bar in Brixton, South East London. Jason then spoke to the management there and the JT Band had residency at the wine bar every Thursday evening. This went on for about a year. The band started to build and became known for providing entertainment.The band began to perform in many of the Wine Bars in London and various Art Exhibitions. Though based in London, the band would be asked to play in various locations in the uk and have international performances under their belt also. The band caters for weddings, funerals, banquets, conferences, concerts and various other background music settings.The JT Band is a collection of up to 8 talented musicians. They are very much in demand as a function group, but their versatility and skill mean that they are as much at home in the large concert venues as the intimate settings, such as wine bars and corporate functions.They have performed with as little as 2 members because that was all that was required. The band comprises of Percussion; Drums; Lead and Rhythm Guitar; Electric and Double Bass; Piano and Keyboards; Saxophone; Trumpet and Violin. Due to their busy schedule, not everyone is available to play at all functions. So there are at least 2 individuals on each instrument to accommodate whatever is required.The band plays all types of music. From Dinner Jazz to Jazz funk. From Eighties Soul to Gospel. The band also has a collection of singers when the function requires it. The JT Band will be recording their debut album in Aug 2008

Influences: All of the musicians involved with the JT Band have stemed from the chuch circuit.
