Chaos Ex Machina
I like to twist things around a bit, when i was fourteen i discovered that if you re-wire the cartridge in your record player so that the left channel is back to front, (anti-phase) and then switch the whole thing to mono, the record sounds a whole lot different, sometimes the voices would dissapear early karaoke!! After that i discovered the pause button on my tape deck was great for dubbing when recording this stuff, we were a poor family, so my equipment was very basic, but i made some interesting tapes nonetheless. Chaos Ex Machina is an extention of this, a case of "Who samples the samplers!" I love everyday sounds and can hear a tune in everything, one day i might buy a decent digital recorder and take it on a night out with me and make an album, until then you have my demos here.
