SEVAN PROJECT

The SEVAN PROJECT aims towards informing about past and present genocides (Armenians, Jews, Cambodians, Tutsis, people in Darfur...) and towards encouraging everyone to TAKE ACTION via organisations who act on these issues (putting an end to current tragedies such as DARFUR (Sudan), getting the international community to acknowledge past genocides, like the ARMENIAN genocide...). ----------------------------------------- So technically, what is the SEVAN PROJECT? To start with, the aim will be partly reached through the distribution of at least 10,000 FREE SEVAN PROJECT CDs in schools, universities and libraries. This action will take place in France in October 2006 and, according to funds, it will expand to other countries - the US being our next move. ------------------------------------------ Each CD will include the song "No More Genocides" by the inde band NACIMIENTO, several films concerning the topic of genocides (including the 17" film "Devouring Buddha" by KORBETT MATTHEWS) and also a 16 page information booklet.
