Take a boat along the river, drink Champagne until I quiver, see a prom, that's just what I will do

There's a cafe on the boulevard

In a Pickle!
There's an onion jar in the back of my car,
In a box - in the boot - in the back.
It's been there for years, even had me in tears,
It won't open - I haven't the knack!
Yes I tried the wet cloth and adjustable spanner,
(The lid is so terribly fickle)
It's stuck there so tight in an unscrewable manner
Will I ever get into this pickle?
It mocks me I'm sure - to its content I'm lured
I shout and I scream and I stammer,
If it won't open soon, I'll give up with my spoon,
And hit it instead with a hammer!
But I sit here defeated with sandwich and soda,
Just reading the label and dreaming.
Of the crisp little onions with vinegar odour
That starts all my taste buds a screaming.
If I wasn't a weed - a strong arms' what I need,
(And I blame my physique on my mother).
Then the lid would be gone and I'd finish each one
Then I'd 'burp' and go start on another!
