About Me

Johnny Jørgensen has just finished touring with yet another run of the ever-popular musical "Atlantis". It was the song 'Morgen på Atlantis' (Morning in Atlantis) from the musical that started his career as the production started its tenure at Bellevue Theater in 1993, later to move to Østre Gasværk Theatre in Copenhagen. Ever since then Johnny has been performing as a lead singer across Denmark, and supporting vocal appearance for prominent artists like Sanne Salomonsen, Søs Fenger, Thomas Helmig, Jokeren, Lars Hug, Lex & Klatten, Stig Rossen, Tommy Körberg and Elaine Page. Johnny's supporting vocal skills were employed in Disney's danish versions of the hit movies 'The Lion King', 'Madagascar', 'Winnie the Pooh' and 'Jungle Book 2'. Johnny vocally portrayed the character 'Kovu' in 'The Lion King 2', and most recently sang a solo in 'Hoodwinked' and the 5 songs in Tim Burton's 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Johnny has been choir leader and soloist for the choir 'Læderhalsene' from 1991. Among other notable points, Johnny performed danish parody versions of hits from artists like George Michael and Michael Jackson with the group, as he had performed them on the danish radio program 'Selvsving'. Johnny's extensive experience with Eurovision Song Contest includes several appearances as backing vocalist as well as two appearances as a soloist. He currently is also a member of the vocal trio Good News.
