Hugh McGinlay

Hugh's been playing live for over a decade. He started out playing music in the hope that one day a he would play a show in a cafe and a girl would smile at him. Since then he's played in half a dozen bands, travelled, played where he travelled, released a solo album, had a song used as a theme to a sports show and is currently getting airplay in 9 countries that he knows of. To his delight 2 girls have smiled at him, though one may have been watching the TV playing behind him. Having toured as many parts of the globe as his feet and hitching thumb will take him, Hugh is always looking for new festivals to play, new people to meet and is on a quest to find the perfect parma. Hugh's debut album 'Second guess' is available online at www.hughmcginlay.com or in all good record stores. His favorite things are travel and music, so he's in the right business. He dreams of one day meeting you (yes you) in a bar overseas and spending an afternoon making up limericks. He's also gigging as guitarist for alt folk group Desperately Not Yoko (the other members being quite good at making up limericks).
