My name is Santino Corleone but everbody calls me "sonny". I Was Born in 1916. I Am The Underboss Of the Corleone Family. I took in a homeless boy, Tom Hagen, to live with the family. Then one day Virgil Sollozzo tried to send some of his men to kill my father but his attempt failed. while the don was at the hospital michael had went to the hospital to look out for Vito Corleone and he had succeded. Then Michael was sent immediately to Sicily to wait out the inevitable crackdown on the Five Families. Bruno Tattaglia, Don Philip Tattaglia's son was also killed in his nightclub.In retaliation for the killing of a rival boss Philip Tattaglia's son, Tattaglia's partner and the Don of one the most powerful of the Five Families, Emilio Barzini, enlisted the help of My bitch-ass wife-beater brother-in-law, Carlo Rizzi, in setting a trap for me. In the state of mob warfare that existed, Corleone family members knew better than to go out much in public, particularly without bodyguards, and were remaining secluded in the family's fortified estate. So, to draw me out into the open, Rizzi inflicted a particularly vicious beating on MY sister Connie. Connie telephoned me and told me that carlos was beating on her, so in a fit of rage i left the family compound unaccompanied and headed for Connie's apartment with the intention of taking revenge upon (and perhaps killing) Carlo. However, My rash behavior was exactly what Barzini, with Tattaglia and Rizzi, had expected. They had now gotten me to expose myself with no protection, and they knew exactly where i was going. The trap was set. As i approached a toll plaza, a number of Tattaglia's men emerged from the toll booths, and from the car in front of mine, with submachine guns and viciously gunned me down. my death persuaded Vito to call a truce with the other Families.When michael was gone on his trip he heard the news that i was killed. When he came back from his trip after killing Virgil Sollozzo and the officer Capt. Mark McCluskey, he became the don of the family and started doin what was right. Many Dons were killed like Virgil Sollozzo, Emillio Barzini, Don Cuneo and Don Stracci.Although I was married, i was a womanizer, my most prominent daliance being with Lucy Mancini, who was Connie's friend. I fathered a child out of wedlock with Lucy. My son, Vincent 'Vinnie' Mancini-Corleone grows up to succeed Michael as Godfather.
