There are others who view it as merely a way to put food on the table. Trey has always looked at music as his statement. He enjoys the connection he feels with the music and fellow-musicians and thrives off of the consumption of the art. He knows 'this is where he needs to be' when he is on a stage somewhere in Idaho, or in a studio tucked away Nashville.....Trey began his musical journey a very blessed player, having lots of music and musicians to look to for inspiration. Upon graduating high school, Trey had already had the local experience under his belt, playing with many artists, both live and in the studio. After graduation Trey packed his things and did as many people do, he moved to Nashville, TN. When Trey arrived he had many mixed emotions about the place where he was going to "live his dream". He was confronted with "no place to start". After meeting a few musicians in a local mall he was directed to a few establishiments where he could see what Nashville was all about. When he got to the door, he was faced with another issue "age requirements"...but, that didn't stop his efforts. He stood just outside of the door and listened to the band. After the show, the gutarist came outside and began talking to Trey. After their brief conversation he told Trey to come see him play in world-famous "Printer's Alley". On the following Monday night, Trey was inside the Fiddle and Steel soaking in the music and feeling right at home! Trey started playing a few gigs here and there with various artists at different venues in Nashville. The more he put himself out there, the more phone calls he had. The late nights and early mornings were paying off for Trey. "The hard work and sleepless nights were never an issue for me...This life of music has never felt like a "real job"..I'm very blessed..In 6 years Trey has had the honor of meeting some astonishing players and amazing friends. In January 2007, Trey joined forces with new-comer, Jason Michael Carroll (Arista-Nashville) on the road in support of his single "Alyssa Lies" (5 on Billboard Country Chart) and his debut album release, "Waiting In The Country" which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. Jason's new single, "Livin' Our Love Song" continues to climb up the charts, and is a Billboard Top 5. Trey stays busy with JMC playing full-band shows as well as acoustic radio shows and TV events . Trey also spends a majority of his time in the studio producing, and playing on some top sessions in Nashville.
