Im different, i was raised millitant, Global, i was born into the army, Iv lived in/been to about 30 Countries, iv experienced racism, iv been the outcast, i know about culture, Iv seen extreme poverty, Iv almost died, you name - it iv been there, seen it, done it! Dont underestimate me - Every line pon my face tells a story. Im Friendly but reserved (not stush) i like to keep it Tidy & im Humble. I like to do things 'Different' - 'Original' - 'Raggo'. I came up with the idea of designing 'identical' military outfits , To drop it like Junglist Soldiers.... So i designed & Logo'd army shirts put together with Combats, Belt with bullets, Steel toe capped boots, Army cap - proper millitant!!! It was going to be a one off skank, go out, bust a dance & have a laugh blah blah ... We got so many smiles & salutes in the dance, the vibes were just positive, nice & friendly... Just how it used to be WAY BACK WHEN ........... ............................................................ ............................................................ .............A Junglist Story ~ My RaggOtwin story ~ Im one of the original "REAL DEAL OLD SKOOL VETERANS" ~~~~~~ BACK IN THE DAY ~~~~~ The day being early in 1988/89 when I was 16/17 years old I went to my first Acid house party ~ What a shocker ~ Straight away I became part of an Amazing scene that was holding 'illeagal' underground Raves in fields and warehouses all over England. To get to one of these parties you had to meet a convoy of confused partyheads at one meeting point, where hundreds of cars (no joke) would join a convoy on a mad MISSION to DANCE ~~ Ending up in Fields or Valleys in the middle of nowhere, already set up with Amazing sound systems, DJs, funfairs & lazershows and Top security there to 'help'! ~~~~~~~~~~ Well trust me ~~ I fell in love with the scene and the people, it was all about LOVING your Brothers and Sisters! It was just one kind of soulful sound back then ~ When a 'HUGE' outdoor rave called 'SUNRISE' was held the police had no power to move the 'THOUSANDS' of people dancing in a unused aircraft hanger ~ next day it hit the headlines and Centre pages of ALL the national papers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So as "RAVE-FEVER" swept the UK I became the mere CADET of the SOUL-JAH that i am today.~~~~~~ SEE ME ERE ~~~~~ I remained a true follower even as the illeagal raves became impossible ~~~~~~~~~~~ Over the years the scene split into different styles of sounds and the MANY DJs i knew went in SO MANY different directions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JUNGLE MUSIC became my favourite sound and iv followed it from DAY ONE !!!! I used to drop the soldier look back then too, making my own camoflauge clothes. I Cant begin to name Dance, i went to Soooo many - REAL Junglists -'you know' the ones. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I took a Long BREAK from the Jungle scene and going to big raves about 1996 when things went a bit too Gangsta. ~~~ I Followed the Garage scene for a cpl of years .... It was ok but not touching the parts other Raves touched. BESIDES - I was starting to feel the urge for some Dutty BassLines~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~THEN ~~~ when I met another D&B addict who was missin the party scene too we decided it was time to pick up where we left off ~~~~~ SO ~~~~~ I am back on the Drum & Bass Scene, from my LOVE of the 'OLD SKOOL JUNGLE' and after a few years rest, Im back as a ~~~~~~ JUNGLIST SOUL-JAH!!!
