I was born in South-East London in 1984 and was classically trained on violin and piano from a young age. As a teenager I began singing and playing guitar and formed a couple of short-lived rock bands, notably the almighty Porthole (the stuff of local legend to this very day). I consider the Beach Boys to be the best group of musicians this world has ever seen and I love those six boys more than anything else in the universe.
I recently graduated from University of Southampton with a Music degree and am currently pursuing success as a singer-songwriter in the Southampton and London areas.
My debut collection "Life Ain't A Straight Line" was recorded in summer 2007 and is NOW AVAILABLE TO BUY from my online shop . You can hear selected excerpts and one entire track from the album on this page.
The current recording band comprises:
Hugo Dowlen- vocals, piano, violins
Tom Doyle- bass
Tim Kitchen- drums
Cat Bee- cello
Production and mixing by Hugo Dowlen and Tom Doyle
Engineering and mastering by Tom Doyle
