Peter Love was born in Boston, MA, to the parents of Dr. Ben and Ann Love, MD. His mother was a Registered Nurse. Peter is the middle of three sons. His brothers are Kim Love and Brett Love. His father passed away when Peter was three years old. His mother remarried to Dr. Edward Page-El, MD, when Peter was six years old. He spent his early years in Nashville, TN, where Peter was introduced to music at an early age. Both his StepFather and Mother were musicians.
Peter was first formely introduced to music at the age of six appearing on stage in a musical play. He also took drum lessons. He fell in love with the trumpet, participating in the school orchestra and marching band and later with his brother's band, the Love Brothers. They were managed by the renowned Mr. Houser. When Peter was ten years old the family moved to Chicago. At age 12 Peter switched from the trumpet to singing after friends convinced him to do so. His musical training came from his school band directors and various private instructors.
Love sang in various bands until he formed his own band after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Union University, Richmond, Va. "Music is my love and sitting behind a desk just didn't do it for me," Peter explained. He jumped into music full time soon after and knew music was his life's calling. Music has been Peter Love's life ever since.
Peter Love is a very talented vocalist, entertainer, recording artist, composer/songwriter and dynamic performer! He has performed around the Chicago area and across the country for the past 25 years. His music, as the testimonials shows, is well received internationally. His musical style varies as is evident on his "Unforgettable Love" CD. His songs, "Daddy's Little Girl,&"Save Our Children" and "A Mother's Love" have all charted.
He has made numerous TV and cable appearances. Love's songs are played on various FM and AM radio stations across the country and abroad. He was recently on CLTV for his "Save Our Children" CD. The inspirational songs "The Lord is on Your Side" and "My Angel" are just as moving as his blues song "Is It Him Or Me." His musical accomplishments are quite impressive and extensive. With his Band CUPID, he won Chicago's Talent Search sponsored by the Chicago Park District. He sang for the former Mayor's Inaugural Ball, performed at most of Chicago's major festivals and club venues.
As a solo artist he has been appearing around the music scene with his strong and tight backup band, "The Band Of Love." Peter Love also writes music for all occasions and has written songs for websites, jingles, documentaries, other musicians and more. He just accomplished the first leg of his dream for an annual national "Save Our Children" Day when he performed his "Save Our Children" song at the Save Our Children Day program on June 4 2005, in Aberdeen, MS. The Mayor signed a "Save Our Children" Day Proclamation in Mr. Love's honor meaning Aberdeen will have an annual SOC Day for as long as American stands. Other cities are now lining up to host SOC Days and Peter Love Concerts as he travels across the country.
