Zdreus

Zdreus:a "sdreus guy" in Barivecchia's tradition is a person with an unusual behavior.
In the american "slanghizzation" this term becomes "Zdreus".

The Zdreus creature was give birth in the summer of 2005 from the sick mind of three guys natives of Bari, Red , Frenzy and Paul Sin
(vocals/drums,guitar and bass)
as the attempt to create a music product that brakes up the classic rules of
metal polluting itself with the best musical kinds ,metal and not: from death till
swing, from grind till rap, from bossanova till nu metal...
The first rule is "never place obstacles to our creativity" always trying to find a homogeneous sound but unexpected musical solutions.
On this solid basis are founded the satirical lyrics of the frontman Red.
In 2006 a new sick brain joins the project: Godzy, a great drummer who
embraces the band philosophy carrying his definitive destructive sound.
The creature is ready to her debut in the music scene.
Our heroes play everywhere possible, carrying their destructive power,
their political engagement but above all their great desire to amuse themselves
and their audience.
An year of work is finally crowned in march 07:band records his first
demo-cd
containing five tracks of social satyr, antisocial, anticlerical, anticostitutional,
psychopatik EntertainMetal with the title "Just an assay!", The work obtains great results for what regards the audience and the critic with good reviews,
some interviews and the title of Band of the month on Noize Italia in October 07.
After the studio experience Paul Sin leaves the project: Andro, bass of the
trashers Deliria, joins the band bringing new lifeblood and becoming one of the columns of the project .
Now the band starts the next phase with new found power: on stage, with some
important events (like the only date in south of Italy of the promotional tour of Roadrunner Records)
and with the composition of new material, realizing more tracks to mark another step on the past work .
In December 07 starts the collaboration with Alkemist Fanatix.

La creatura Zdreus viene partorita dalla malsana mente di tre ragazzi
baresi (Red, Frenzy e Paul Sin rispettivamente alla voce/batteria,alla chitarra e al basso)
nell’estate 2005 quale tentativo di creare un prodotto musicale che scardinasse i classici canoni del metal,inquinandosi con qualsiasi altro genere musicale,
del filone metal e non: si passa dal death allo swing,dal grind al rap,dalla bossanova latino americana al nu-trash e così via.
Unica regola della band è mai porre ostacoli alla propria creatività,tentando di
mantenere un sound di riferimento base che lasci all’orecchio del fruitore una certa omogeneità pur sorprendendolo.
Su questa solida base poggiano i testi satiricamente impegnati venuti fuori dalla pungente penna del frontman Red.
E’ sul finire del 2005 che una nuova mente bacata si unisce al trio per lasciare Red completamente libero di dedicarsi esclusivamente alla voce:
Godzy,eccezionale drummer reduce da un progetto prog-thrash, che si getta a
capofitto nel progetto abbracciandone sin da subito la filosofia e donando la carica distruttiva che mancava.
La band pare pronta ad elevarsi ad un livello superiore.
Comincia una lunga serie di concerti.
I nostri suonano ovunque sia possibile,portandosi dietro la loro pazzia,il loro impegno sociale e politico ma prima di tutto la loro voglia di divertirsi e far divertire il loro pubblico.
Un anno di sforzi è finalmente coronato con l’entrata in studio nel febbraio 2007 per la tanto agognata registrazione del loro primo demo cd contenente 5 tracce
di psychopatik entertainmetal e satira antisociale,anticlericale,anticonformista e anticostituzionale.
Il lavoro viene simbolicamente chiamato “Just an Assay!”(solo un assaggio!).
Il lavoro ottiene ottimi riscontri dal pubblico e dagli addetti ai lavori e frutta ai nostri buone recensioni,alcune interviste e il titolo di Band del mese di Ottobre sulla webzine Noize Italia.
Intanto alcuni problemi interni portano all’allontanamento dal gruppo di Paul Sin appena dopo la registrazione del demo.
Sarà Andro,già bassista dei thrashers Deliria, a prendere il suo posto portando al progetto nuova linfa vitale e divenendone uno dei pilastri.
Ora la band riprende il nuovo corso con nuova ritrovata potenza sia in sede live,partecipando a date di una certa importanza,prima su tutte l’unica data al sud Italia del tour promozionale della Roadrunner Records
(the Black Crusade Party),sia in sede compositiva realizzando pezzi tecnicamente più elaborati che segnano un passo avanti rispetto al lavoro precedente.
A dicembre 2007 l’inizio della collaborazione con l’Alkemist Fanatix.
