Winter's Lament

In 2003 Rachel Cearns was playing acoustic guitar gigs at the tender age of 14. In early 2005 Luke Faz (also the current the drummer of Virgin Black) started playing percussion for Rachel.Throughout the year they experimented with different sounds and moods until they completely changed format from guitar and percussion to piano and full kit. Their sound also evolved from a folkish feel into the moody, dark and dynamic soundscape that gave birth to "Winter's Lament" in early 2006..Winter's Lament are currently in the running for Triple J's Unearthed competition.
