Art is a revolt against fate - André Malraux

About Me

My main love in life is my band 200 MOTELS!

200 Motels have turned anime!! AWESOME!! Drawn by Louise's sister Carolyn... If you like her work, you can see more here .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saw the incredible THE MARS VOLTA recently!! WOW - amazing musicianship, powerful performance. I've been a fan of Cedric & Omar's musical adventures since 2000 in the At the Drive-In days, so I always get a little excited to see them live (understatement). Here are a couple of my pics... To see the rest, go to MY FLICKR PAGE...
And I'm still proud of my Yeah Yeah Yeahs pics!
If you're keen to see some more gig pics and some travel pics, see my my Flickr page:
My Interests
GUITAR, GUITAR, GUITAR!! Anything music related. I also love to travel! I've been through quite a bit of South East Asia inc. Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, China and I went to the US for the SXSW music festival in 2005.
Other things I do to keep me busy: Social research (I'm really interested in talking to fans/bands and seeing how they view fame. Email me if you have any comments / thoughts / stories), writing, sketching, Wing Chun (even though I broke my arm during practice!), photography, making jewelery, tshirt printing, dancing (I subscribe to the go-go / robot / charleston fusion school), photoshop, eBay, old school gaming like Baulderdash, Commander Keen and anything c64 or ATARI, procrastinating, hanging about with my friends and finding time to do absolutely nothing! And naps, I like naps.
Things I'm interested in: Sociology, history, politics, impressionist/post impressionist art, architecture esp. American contemporary (eg. Frank Lloyd Wright), Art Deco, 50s/60s retro, Buddhism and theology in general, satire, the ABC , frighteningly psychedelic children's tv shows like Boobahs - you have to try their games here ... (I think I had acid flashbacks and I've never taken acid in my life), children's toys (what is the next generation going to be like?? AARGH!! Bratz by name, Bratz by nature - little sh*ts!), Engrish , stupid animal clothes (they're just too funny!). See Chihuahua Chic , Calling All Dogs and Cuddly Cavies for some sublimely ridiculous examples.
I'm sure there's more to mention... I'll add stuff as I think of it.
The world has gone mad!! *sigh*
I'm terribly sad that my first foray into the world of blogs is on such a sad note.  I found this as a bulletin by the (International) Noise Conspiracy, and I think it deserves some reflection: "...
