I find it perfectly proportionate to the rest of my body, but that's just what I constantly hear. I am a lover of life and a lover of almost everyone and everything. I'm pretty much always happy! I'm five years old and weigh in at almost ninety pounds. My weight sort of fluctuates with the seasons. ( I always put on a little more in the winter time. ) I was named after the magnificent, exalted DAVE MATTHEWS! Though my name IS Dave, I usually go by a wide variety of wacky nicknames instead. Some of them are, "Poodle Dave", or "Dave Poodle", "The Meathead", sometimes simply "Meat", "Little boy Blue", occasionally "Pookie", and Pooh Daaaaaaaaaa. My registered name is "Lil' Dave's Catfish Blues, CGC". The 'catfish' part is because when I lay upside down, my underside is marked up just like a catfish! Dave, of course, is for David John Matthews, and 'Blues', with it's dual meaning of (1) my color, and (2) 'the blues', 'singing the blues", etc. I was born in a little town in North Gerogia, and came to live at my new home when I was only eight weeks old. My original father was from Florida, but I never actually got to meet him. I don't remember any of my sisters or brothers either. My brother now is a huge, overweight, very fluffy cat named "Notebook". ( His real name is "Casper.") He's my brother and my best friend! We're really close and hang out together all day in the house. We've got a cool doggie door, but book can't figure out how to use it. ( we've had it now for almost a year and he still hasn't 'gotten' it. He's not too bright!) Notebook had his claws removed when he was just a baby, so he compensates by biting! He'll bite anything and anybody. Mom said that's how he came to live with us. He was biting the little girl that he used to live with before us. We play rough together, but he likes it, and I always let him win in the end. I have a lot of other friends, mostly girls, but some boys here and there. I play well with others unless some big bully ( bigger than me) tries to pick something. It's really hard to resist a good invitation every now and then , but I always get in really big trouble if I do. Two of my biggest fears are the vacuum cleaner, and the Harmonica! I absolutely hate them both and run like hell if either of them get after me. I love to eat! Food is the best. I love chinese, Turkey, chicken, noodles, cheese, broccoli, PopTarts, hard boiled eggs, pudding,... oh, I could just go on and on. I try to stay away from greasy and fried things though, and I'm not overly fond of rice. Mom and I work out everyday! We have to do something outside for at least an hour every day. That is my favorite part of the day. We love long walks in the woods the best. Walking through the fields with the cows is really great too! I love chasing cows! I like to spook them and make them run all crazy like, but I never hurt them. Even though I look like a tough boy, really I am very sensitive on the inside. I get my feelings hurt way too easily, but I really can't help it. I'm trying to work on it though. Dad's calls me a pansey a lot because of it. He also picks on me when I wear my pastel collars, but I'm just secure enough with myself to know that I can pull off the pastel thing and no one will suspect me of being gay or anything. Trust me, I do love the ladies!!! I've had a lot of girlfriends, but never really gotten serious. I don't know if children are ever in the future for me or not. So far, that has not really been an issue for me, but everywhere we go, people are always asking if I have any kids. (Whatever!) Speaking of 'everywhere', I've been everywhere!!!! I usually get to go every where that mom & dad go on the weekends, and sometimes we take neat trips! Last month we all went to the beach, and it was the first time for me! I LOVED the ocean! It was the most beautiful place I've ever seen. No one could possibly doubt God's existence when you see something like that. The salt-water thing took some getting used to, but it was all just so much fun! How fun are waves? I hope we get to go back again soon! I've been through a lot of training since I was just a tot. I actually stayed in obedience school way past what is required, just so I could keep learning, and I earned my CGC ( Cainine Good Citizen) through the AKC back in 2003. I've been in a few shows, but the UKC didn't seem to like me too much due to my extra-large size. It hurt my feelings at first, but then I realized that I WAS actually way out of the typical size range according to their "Breed Standard". I have to respect their opinion on this, as I am a UKC dog regardless! I did much better at a big "Bully Bash" we entered this summer. I took third, which I was very proud of, seeing that it was my first "Bash", and there were way over a thousand Pit Bulls there! I couldn't have been any happier! All in all, I have a wonderful life! *NEW STUFF!* I now have a sister named Lil' Dave's Black Eyed Susan! We call her SUZI! She is an American Bulldoggie, and I love her. You will see her pictures scattered about now, as she is a pup, and growing more and more everyday. As I'm writing this, she is still 5 months old, so we've got a while to go before we'll see what she's going to look like full grown! She is a beautiful little blob of love and affection! My sister, and my new best friend! Video and Image Hosting"> ..
