"The Crown" represents the first professional artistic endeavor for Congo Judah thus far in the music. It is a solid effort to say the least and is one of those rare albums that you can listen to from beginning to end without feeling the need to skip tracks. It is a strictly roots and culture album based upon tune after tune laced over one-drop riddims with the exception of "Ringin' Out", the bonus track, which is a fine example of Judah's ability to switch musical gears and dj over a hype dancehall riddim. This album also features the hit tune "Burning"Â of which a video was recently shot locally in Judgement Yard. "Burning" has been enjoying rotation on local Jamaican airwaves and is poised to storm the music even more in the months to come as it is the lead single of a riddim compilation album that Chop Chop records is set to release featuring the other members of Judgement Yard.
From the intro track of "The Crown", the tune "Rasta Will Always Turning"Â, which is an ode to the triumphs of Rasta over obstacles that are prevalent in Jamaican ghettos such as August Town, sets an upbeat, postive mood that does not diminish at any point throughout the album.
In "Full Control" Judah sings about the Operation Kingfish raid that took place in Judgement Yard in March of 2005, in which one the yards that was raided by police and soldiers belonged to Judah. In this raid, most of Judah's worldy possessions were strewn about in the yard outside Judah's home by police and soldiers in their search for guns and ammunition; none of which were found there. In "Full Control" Judah emphasizes the fact that although circumstances may be unfortunate at times, "Jah Jah got us in full control."
Another stand out track on an otherwise solid album is "Cherry Babes" in which Judah chants for the princesses over the smash Studio 1 inspired version widely known as the "Handcart Bwoy" riddim produced by Rebel Chris. With "Cherry Babes", Judah is poised to rise back the popular riddim that is still enjoying heavy rotation in the dancehall.
"The Crown" is sure to please all fans of cultural Reggae music who enjoy pure and undiluted roots music. Judah's style and delivery prove to be rather refreshing in light of his original chanting/wailing style, which is fairly unique among the musical Reggae fraternity these days. Judah sounds almost as is if he is not of this time, but rather an ancient chanter from ancient days who is chanting over modern roots riddims to uplift and heal the nation through postive chants.

NEW RELEASE!
At last, 'The Ultimate Hussler' has finally arrived in our exclusive download store and is available only through judgementyard.org.
This show, which commemorated the earth strong anniversary of one of Judgement Yard's own, Part Two is a show that is not easlily forgotten. After all, it represents a Judgement Yard and Alliance link up live, straight out of Judgement Yard. It just doesn't get much bigger or better than 'The Ultimate Hussler'.
Opening the show were a few upcoming local talents from in and around August Town who burned some serious fire, all the while setting the musical pace for the evening and paving the way for the bigger Judgement Yard stars to come.
Teflon arrived on stage to huge forwards from the August Town massive chanting, 'Well then di bugger dem guh, nyam off di pig and dem guh, nyam di bloody cow and dem guh nyam di lickle fish dem weh swim down below' from his chart topping tune on the 'Breath of Fiyah' riddim. The talented Bobo youth from St. Mary then began reeling off hits from his burgeoning catalogue from 'Rise Up' to 'Holding On'.
Upon Teflon's departure, Bobo David made his arrival and blessed the place before proceeding to chant 'Nah put mi head down deh, mi know seh it red down deh' while dashing a serious fiyah on the bowers. The capacity crowd in Judgement Yard demanded a forward for the blazing new track from Bobo David.
Bobo David connected with every tune he drew until it was time to usher in Congo Judah aka Ol' Gunz. The Marshal was obviously at ease on his own turf and commanded the stage well. He gave the people a taste of the 'Demerara' tune and transitioned well between crucial cuts like 'R'ollin' In' and a brand new track called 'Jam Rock Youth.'
Judah represented as the Marshal that he is until he called Joseph Shepherd on stage whose opening tune, 'Love Mi Chalice Cup' moved the show to a higher realm. Shepherd wasn't alone on the stage long before he called none other than Sizzla Kalonji on stage just at the right time to share in the glory of the star-packed evening.
Sizzla's presence brought the show to a feverish pitch and as his voice echoed through the August Town air it was apparent that the community was experiencing a truly special treat.
Dada blazed through a set of new, exclusive releases and freestyles until Bounty Killer could not help but to make his presence known in the midst of the pandamonium caused by Sizzla's superman like artistic ability and stage presence.
As soon as The Warlord touched the stage deejaying 'Bwoy ah guh dead and all di world mi ah tell' on the Stagalag riddim, lighers and torches lit up the evening as the community showed x amount of love to the Killer in return for his blessing them with his presence and his craft. From then on, it was pure joy as the stage began to fill up with artistes like Harry Toddler, Alozade, and Leego, who also contributed select numbers to the high powered musical assault.
'The Ultimate Hussler' like all other original, high quality merchandise offered by Judgement Yard is a must have. It is a show of love from the grassroots of the music, all the way to the top. On the grassroots side, August Town residents from Judgement Yard, Angola, River, Jungle 12, Vietnam, Bryce Hill and even adjacent communities like Hermitage came together in peace and love in a musical night of unity and solidarity for the community.
On the top side of the music, two of the most visible don dada artistes in the music for the past 10 years, Sizzla Kalonji and Bounty Killer came together in one love bringing together Judgement Yard and the Alliance in the whole glorious process.
Make sure to cop your own copy and you will be joyful for it.

At last, the preeminent Sizzla stageshow so far for 2006 has finally arrived exclusively here at www.judgementyard.org and can be found nowhere else. Welcome to Rise To The Occasion II, the 30th Earth Strong anniversary celebration of the reigning King Of Reggae, Sizzla Kalonji, which was held at Market Place in Red Hills, St. Andrew this past April.
As to be expected with any production offered by Judgement Yard, Rise To The Occasion II does not disappoint in any department. Everything from the performances of the top artistes in Reggae music today who represented for Sizzla that night, right back down to the camera angles, editing and mastering of the footage is top class. And the artistes who represented were many and provided stellar performances indeed.
Opening the show were none other than Judgement Yard rising stars, Congo Judah and Bobo David, both of whom put on very good sets to the delight and satisfaction of the capacity crowd. Both Judah and David looked like seasoned veterans during their sets and exhibited excellent stage presence. Here you can get a taste of the fire that Congo Judah and Bobo David will continue to bring in the future.
Also putting on memorable performances in the opening segment were artistes like Bescenta, Anthony B and Jimmy Riley, but when Perfect arrived on stage chanting his hit tune, “Is It Because I’m Black†it became clear that show time had begun.
Following Perfect was Fantan Mojah who reminded the packed crowd that “when Jah bless you along the way, you have to give thanks and praise.†The crowd showed their appreciation for this reminder by chanting along and giving the tune forwards.
It was also a pleasure to see The Messenjah, Luciano show his support for Sizzla on his Earth Strong by giving the crowd a very inspired performance, which was well appreciated by the audience.
The highlight of the show was Sizzla’s arrival, of course, which directly followed the usual blazing set by King Shango aka Capleton. Sizzla, was in a good mood as expected on one’s Earth Strong and the crowd responded to Sizzla’s good vibes in turn by giving every single tune he drew for forwards. Sizzla could do no wrong on his night.
The show got even better when the Gold Teeth, Gun Teeth, Brush Teeth With Toothpaste, Don Gorgon Ninja Man arrived on the stage packed with artistes to engage Sizzla in a lengthy tune for tune segment.
Other top artistes such as Shaggy, Ini Kamoze, Richie Spice, Warrior King, Determine Natural Blacks, Spragga Benz, Assasin, Macka Diamond, Lady G, Louie Culture, L.U.S.T and more are also featured in full vibes and effect.
Don’t hesitate for a moment to get your fresh, exclusive, official copy of Rise To The Occasion II right here on our website at www.judgementyard.org because any other copy is a bootleg.
