About Me

In a suburban backyard in Brisbane a light shines brightly, refusing to fade and unable to be switched off. Locals named the lantern Dayburn and its light intensifies with each rising dawn.
With fate working on his side the founding members of the band joined forces in 2006. Six months of focused songwriting has evolved a sound much like a magnet, drawing in those exposed to it.
Imagine the smooth, 'hooky' melodies of Nickelback & Hoobastank coupled with syncopated grooves a..la Sevendust & RATM and you've got a sound that will engage people worldwide.
The lyrics of the songs connect with many on an intimate level. They are thought inspiring, always relevant and always meaningful. Asked about the lyrics, David Mark says, 'they don't dictate a feeling, they inspire it!'
The music doesn't promote negativity or hate, rather it seems to connect with life and describe its difficulties and while doing so send a refreshing message of hope and self belief.
With the release of his debut EP entitled 'Dayburn' and a string of live performances across Brisbane, 2007 is proving to be a break-through year.
