My Fatal Mistake are the definition of D.I.Y. The five young musicians have been together since the summer of 2005, and have already well-established themselves in the Pacific Northwest music scene. Upon the release of their debut album, The Perils of Life, the group continues to grow musically, and touring plans are in the works. M.F.M. have forcefully driven themselves into the hearts of local show-goers through their die-hard work ethic and consistent gig schedule. Having shared the stage with many big-name acts, as well as nearly every established local group, they show no signs of stopping any time soon.
Though the lineup has changed a few times since it's inception, the heart, soul, and desire in M.F.M. remains as steadfast as ever. Composed of five young men who were all readily established in Spokane's music scene, My Fatal Mistake encompass many different elements of music into their art, striving to not be lumped into the mix as just another generic metalcore band. Featuring Jason Overdorf (Johnny Get Down, Welcome to Whittier), Mitch Smithpeter (United Effect, Insult to Injury), Dustin Carroll (Merrick Diaries, Skies Burn Black), and Derek Binsfield (Pimagora). The group is currently auditioning for a new drummer.
