King Ring Nancy is a full-on curb stomp; they’re a musical boot fuck to the head. According to many, the production and arrangements on their first demo (available now) brings to mind early Metallica and Godsmack. The seasoned veterans are known as one of Edmonton’s best heavy rock bands. They have a great buzz on MySpace.com/kingringnancy and commonly rate in the top 10 on TheSoundRadio.com. They bring it when they gig by bending the rules, by raising the bar, and by whoring, drinking and smoking shamelessly. KRN are the YING to political correctness’ YANG.King Ring Nancy’s musical diversity and relentless drive has awarded them a strong and very loyal following that continues to grow in leap and bounds; it transcends genres, age and sex. It’s this kind of buzz that has allowed KRN to share the stage with some of today’s top acts such as Ian Gillan, Helix, Edwin & The Pressure, Live, WASP, Sammy Hagar, Def Leppard, Bad Company and Loverboy, to name just a few. Their current video, Reborn – produced and directed by Mike Maxxis, can be seen on Shaw Digital’s “video-on-demandâ€.Currently, KRN is finishing up a six song EP at the little known, but stellar studio called Titan Sound, run by Dave Petovar. Cam MacLeod (of White Wolf fame) is at the helm for engineering, mixing and producing duties. The songs sizzle and the anticipation for release (early April ’07) is insurmountable.The sound of King Ring Nancy has been recognized and embraced by not only their fans, but by the media as well. They have been featured twice on A-Channel’s “Big Breakfast†and once on “Wiredâ€, both coveted television spots that have a far-reaching audience. Local Edmonton radio station 100.3 FM The Bear has interviewed and played their tracks on the “Red, White and New†program, and featured KRN on their 2000 compilation entitled “The Black Albumâ€. Additionally, many of the bands compositions were used on a promotional extreme sports video, “World Flightsâ€, which was released in both Canada and the USA. The Internet has embraced the band as well. KRN’s song “Trip†went number 1 twice at Radio306.com Saskatoon where it remained on the charts for 40 weeks and ended up finishing number 4 of the top 100 for 2003.King Ring Nancy has an untouchable chemistry that can’t be bought or forged. Their daredevil attitude and balls-to-the-wall approach brings together one common goal: to have their music reach a large-scale audience who will embrace KRN’s love of creating music and playing live.
