Small Town Nation [New Songs Up!!!]

About Me

Formed in the early months of 2005 by three Deer Park High School students who desperately needed attention, Levi Steverding, Boone Schriebman and J.R. Harris, the band originally served as a creative output for the group of close friends, in a small town that lacked the traditional resources for teenage entertainment. "We were bored and couldn't get chicks," quotes bassist Boone Schreibman, "and figured that if we started a band, that would take care of two problems at once." Thus, they selected a name for their endeavors which would reflect this small town sentiment but also convey a sense of their musical ambitions. Due to Small Town Nation's diligent work ethic, combined with the flourishing Spokane music scene, the young band quickly found themselves growing in talent and popularity, sharing the stage with such national acts as Authority Zero, Houston Calls, Fight Fair, A Change of Pace, Jetlag Gemini, The Phenomenauts, This Time Next Year, as well as several others. The year of 2008 was one of change and growth for the band. After coming off a self-booked two week West Coast tour which extended from Washington all the way down to central California, they expanded their sound with the addition of lead guitarist Josh Crites, who had previously fronted local metal act Division 8. Along with Crites, replacement drummer Travis Singleton, and an eclectic amalgam of musical influences, Small Town Nation has begun to steadily create a name for itself throughout the Northwest, winning the Colville Rendezvous Battle of the Bands in August out of 11 bands, Spokane Booking Agents' Battle Royale in November out of 34 bands, and most recently WSU's CKI Battle of the Bands held at Moose Lodge last December. As the band currently records their full length debut album, which is expected to be released sometime this spring, they continue to strive to bring the level of energy and fun which inspired them to begin making music in the first place. "For me, it's all about putting on an amazing, energetic live show and not taking yourself too seriously, because that is where fans will come to relate with you the most," says frontman Levi. "The chicks are rad, also."I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)!!! Start Code To Apply Top Banner !!!!
